
Jason Kincaid is an operations, engineering, and project management professional with more than 20 years of experience in advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, maintenance, and technical project execution. His career spans automotive, defense, and highly automated manufacturing environments, where he has led multidisciplinary teams and supported complex projects from planning and installation through commissioning and production.
At Distinct Impact Engineering, Jason provides client-site leadership for engineering, controls, maintenance, operations, and project teams. He works closely with client stakeholders, engineers, skilled trades, vendors, and integrators to solve technical challenges, improve equipment reliability, increase operational performance, and successfully execute projects. His management experience includes strategic planning, project execution, operations management, team development, resource allocation, budgeting and cost control, performance management, continuous improvement, contractor and vendor management, and cross-functional leadership.
Before joining Distinct Impact, Jason held a maintenance engineering leadership role supporting Tesla’s Texas Battery Pack operations. Prior to Tesla, he spent more than 13 years with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas in skilled maintenance and supervisory positions, developing a strong foundation in the Toyota Production System, lean manufacturing, equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and team development. Jason began his technical career in the United States Air Force as a fuel systems maintenance craftsman, where he developed the disciplined approach to troubleshooting, safety, and technical problem-solving that continues to shape his leadership style.
Jason is currently a senior at the University of the Incarnate Word, completing his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He plans to continue his education by pursuing a master’s degree, further expanding his expertise in business leadership, operations, and project management. His leadership approach combines technical knowledge, practical execution, and team development with a focus on delivering sustainable improvements in safety, reliability, productivity, and overall operational performance.
